Trends have changed a great deal lately and one will possibly come up with even better and convenient solutions in the future. Doubtlessly, the online payment processors have made life a lot easier as they can get you deals done in no time. The conventional methods were quite out of the market and one could expect nothing good from them. Your credit card and debit cards will be used over on the internet but for quite a limited time duration and once you transfer your cash into the online payment processor, you will not be afraid of having your credit card hacked.

The benefits:

Online payment processor gives you with the convenience that you want. You can now manage all your online business with just a few clicks. The latest integration not only allows you to manage between your credit and debit cards but you also get a chance to track your online accounts as well such as PayPal, Alert Pay, Moneybookers, etc. These provide you with better and affordable solutions compared to other online merchant account services that have a number of charges that set a higher price at the end. Most of these allow you to have the countless benefits against just the monthly fee and the processing fee.

In addition to just that, you get the following exciting benefits:

•	Affordable payment solutions
•	Less processing time
•	Convenience and reliability
•	Fund available all the time
•	Better and enhanced cash management
•	No credit rating
•	Processing is completely integrated.

You can transfer your money from your bank account to the online payment processor or backwards. You will have the liberty to use your money in the way that you like; may it be ready cash or online spending. Most online payment processor even gives you cards that are Visa or MasterCard in nature so that you can use their services around the world in both the online and the real time environment.

Online payment processor for your business:

Online payment processor is a blessing for people who are buying or selling goods in the online world. The credit card mode was quite inconvenient in the past and there was a need for something better that processes fast and does not have the risk of being exposed to the hackers. The checks are so outdated now that no one even considers them for the payment these days so you will be left with this option as the best one amongst all solutions. You need not to carry cash with you and still you get your business processes go as smooth as anything.

One account with an online payment processor will get you loads of benefits altogether that will enhance your business and your reputation will certainly go higher once there will be no issues in the transactions that you carry out.

An excellent feature for your business provided by the online payment processors is the fraud management. The payment processor identifies the faulty source in case you meet their requirement criteria and you get your money back if you are not guilty.

A common grudge held by most merchants is that the merchant account providers are looting them with their hidden fees et al. Is it really true? Not quite. Let’s see why.
Hidden fees

There’s an article right here posted recently that covers some of the hidden, and not so hidden, fees charged by merchants. This is what they mainly include:

Transaction Fees
Set-up fees
Credit Card related fees
Assessment fee
Discount rate
Minimum monthly discount fee

Do these fees mean the merchants are trying to get their hands into your pocket? Not really. Remember that these account providers ...

There’s an article right here posted recently that covers some of the hidden, and not so hidden, fees charged by merchants. This is what they mainly include:

Set-up fees

Assessment fee

Discount rate

Minimum monthly discount fee

Do these fees mean the merchants are trying to get their hands into your pocket? Not really. Remember that these account providers also have to pay their own fees to credit card companies. How can they cover these? By passing them off to you, of course. And it is a business for them, which means they need to make a profit. So they add a certain margin. Fees like Non-qualified Credit Card fee, cross-border payment fee, monthly minimum discount rate are levied by necessity rather than out of greediness.

Consider this: third party merchant account providers do not usually levy any minimum monthly discount fee. Does this mean they are kind men running a charity? Not quite. They make even more money, in fact. Direct merchant account providers need to levy these ridiculous fees so that they can meet their targets. They can’t pay credit card companies from their own pockets, can they?

They make it easy for you

Imagine how easy your life becomes because of these merchant account providers. For that, isn’t it worth it to pay some fee? It’s not like you are paying the sun and the moon for their services. You are paying less than 5% per sale in the long run if you combine all kinds of fees. For this measly amount, you can start accepting payment from all over the world. From running a mom and pop shop on the corner of a street, you can start selling things globally and build an empire for yourself. For this, you still think 5% is too much? From making $100 a day without a merchant account, wouldn’t you rather make $1000 and then pay 5% of it? You are not losing $20 by doing so. You are gaining $880. You should be thanking your merchant account provider.

They are running a business, not a charity

There’s no free lunch, really. You can’t expect them to provide you cheap accounts and run themselves into the ground. They are running a business just like you are. They need to make profits, wouldn’t you agree? After paying the credit card companies and the government, they don’t really make as much off you as you imagine.

It’s time online merchants stopped complaining about merchant account providers and started thanking them for the services they provide. The next time you feel frustrated, just remember that they are businessmen like you, and are actually helping you grow, not stifling you.

As a continuation from yesterday’s 10 Newbie Tips to Establish an Online Merchant Account – Part 1, we now present you Part 2 for your reading pleasure!
6. Know your Internet discount rates
Do you know that there is a fixed percentage extracted from every online transaction? This is known as the Internet discount rate, and usually consists of 2 or 3% from the total amount of transactions. This rate is usually higher compared to credit card-swipes due to the increased risks when dealing with Internet transactions.
7. Beware high transaction fees
Although fixed ...

Although fixed charges for transactions are typically set between $0.25 to $0.70 each, small time merchants will cringe at the thought of paying through their nose especially when they sell low priced items on their websites.

8. Monthly fees CAN be levied
Ask for monthly fees that can be levied such as statement fees (although some unscrupulous merchant account providers charge up to $25 per month!) as well as excess usage fees. Talk to your provider and see what fees can be levied.

9. Holdbacks and chargeback fees
Did you know that merchant account providers have the right to reserve a portion of your transaction receipts in case any charges are being contested by customers. Chargeback fees will also be charged if these transactions have been successfully contested.

10. Setup fees won’t really cost a lot
Contrary to what merchants think, setup fees won’t burn a hole in your pocket. Ask your merchant services provider what sort of software or hardware need to be purchased, and if they can install or setup for you should the purchases be made through them.
