Taking the Leap With Online Credit Card Processing Providers – Part 2

25 February 2010 No Comment

Verisign

Following our first guide to online credit card processing providers here, we’ve listed down a good selection of payment gateway companies that include:

Authorize.net
Billions of transactions have been recorded annually so it is no wonder that Authorize.net is a household name when it comes to being a renowned credit card processing service provider. Authorize.net has the whole arsenal of tools which include a reliable shopping cart software as well as quality merchant support solutions. Cost of setup is approximately $99 whereas access fee can go up to $20. However, their transaction fees are deemed the lowest in the market at approximately $0.10. So far it has managed to uphold its spotless reputation – only two outages happened in 2004 and 2009.

VeriSign Payflow Link
VeriSign is also another renowned name in the secure payment gateway industry. Merchants only have praises for its Pro service that allows them to enjoy 1,000 transactions monthly – free of charge. Cost-wise, they are almost on par with Authorize.net but record a higher setup fee at $179 which most merchants do not mind due to their outstanding service quality.

Flagship Merchant Services
Flagship is currently on the rise and more merchants are now aware of their presence. Setup cost is relatively lower than rivals’ but transaction fee is slightly higher.
